Chris Jericho, Adrian Pasdar Arrested/Greg Oden's Naked: Could Entertainers Be Worse Role Models?

Story after story today is publicizing the mistakes of the famous. It makes me wonder if those in the public eye really ever think about who is watching them?
WWE Wrestlers Chris Jericho and Greg "hurricane" Helms was arrested in Kentucky for reportedly being "Extremely intoxicated." The two were arrested for alcoholic intoxication in a public place and were released on $120 bond each.
Heroes Star Adrian Pasdar is also finding himself in trouble because of alcohol today and making the search engines go crazy! He also had an eventful morning being pulled over under the suspicion of drunk driving. The Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines husband is also bringing bad press for the show, his wife and fans everywhere as they witness his mistake.
Then add to that Greg Oden, a basketball player for the Portland Traliblazers sent nude pics of himself to an ex-girlfriend. she, of course, tried to sell them, then just gave them away so everyone could see. He had a press conference and apologized for being an idiot.
Kids and teens watch these celebrities every day. I don't expect them to not make mistakes. I do expect them to realize that they are in the public eye. With technology and instant access, they have to realize that their mistakes will be broadcasted in a matter of seconds.
They need to live a higher level of responsibility because of that. They have been given great authority and leadership roles. They shouldn't take it for granted and do whatever necessary to protect those roles.
I hope next time they act with more privacy and intelligence in the matter. In other words, I hope these men have learned their lesson about behavior in public.
It would be nice to see some sort of community announcement for those involved in alcohol mistakes. It is hard for us to teach our kids right decisions when their favorite starts are making wrong ones. Hope they remember that next time they want to get drunk in public or reveal their privates!
