American Idol: Pants On The Ground And The Unity It Makes In America

It is that time of the year again where millions of Americans are glued to the television watching American Idol. The show continues to reign among prime time despite being on air for nine years.
This year is no different. Americans seem to unite when it comes to this show. I have never been more amazed at how easy a country comes together when it is sharing their views on American Idol.
I am pretty sure every friend I have on Facebook had the song as their status the next day. He has became an internet phenomenon at the age of 62. You know why?
Larry Platt is right!
I can't tell you how annoying that fad of having pants down is to me! Just yesterday, I saw a kid with his pants literally around his thighs in a belt. His hat was on sideways. They should invent jeans that just go up to the thighs?!? Does he honestly think I want to see his butt???? How is that cool? I guess I am old and just do not get it.
Anyway, back to the subject of the song. If you have not seen it, watch it now! It will make your day!
Now that you watch the video, you can see how big of a hit this is becoming. Just this past weekend, Brett Favre himself, decided to get in on the fun. He informed his teammates that if the Vikings won, that he would do the song. Check out that video.
American Idol continues to delight fans and bring those who would never be noticed to the forefront. I say Kudos to Larry Platt for bringing Americans together on such an important topic! Pull Up You Pants! We are tired of seeing you look like a fool!

Top-level comments on this article: (1 total)Great article! I hate the sagging pants too. And no it's not because we're too old. It's because we KNOW BETTER.As I understand it, the "sag" is actually a style that generally becomes popular in prison...since inmates don't have belts. How outrageous is that?! Taking fashion tips from a convict. At work, I'm constantly telling the young men to pull up their pants. The only thing that upsets me more than seeing someone dressed in this manner is the mother's that bring their young sons to the hospital for treatment.I start my usual spill "pull your pants up young man". The mother looks at me and says "I tell him the same thing everyday".EXCUSE ME but aren't YOU the one buying his clothes???????? Maybe if you'd get him the right size...they wouldn't sag!!!!
