News out of the UK has me celebrating with an extra shot of cream in my coffee this morning.
Oxford researchers have concluded that having a big bottom and thighs can actually be good for your health.
The BBC is reporting, " Carrying extra weight on your hips, bum and thighs is good for your health, protecting against heart and metabolic problems , " the Oxford team said. "Hip fat mops up harmful fatty acids and contains an anti-inflammatory agent that stops arteries clogging."
Seriously, the study showed that extra fat around the waistline is more damaging then having fat on the hips, thigh and buttocks area.
Also, stomach fat increases your risk of diabetes and heart disease.
So the perfect body sounds like slim on the top half and a little fatty on the bottom side. Too bad, we can't control that.
The scientists in this study hopes that doctors can figure a way to reposition the weight with the new findings. Unfortunately, some believe it is not that simple.
As for me, I am going to take that as a little victory today!! Then, of course, I think I better hit the gym again and maybe only drink one cup of coffee today!
