Miley Cyrus has remained at the top of the charts since her debut. Most recently she was at the top of the Box Office to with Hannah Montana: The Movie..
The Climb, featured in Hannah Montana: The Movie, had been nominated for the best song written for motion picture, television or other visual media prize. However, The Academy has announced the song has been removed from contention after discovering that the song had not been written for the movie.
"Despite this procedure, there are rare occasions where changes are required."
The Climb, it continued, had been withdrawn after Walt Disney Records "verified that the song was not written specifically for the film".
Now, Karen O's song All Is Love, which was featured in the movie version of Where the Wild Things Are is nominated. As bad as the movie was, the song is really good!
Here is All is Love:
It is sad to think that The Climb is not nominated, but rules are rules.
Other nominees include: Bruce Springsteen's title track from The Wrestler and Jai Ho, an Oscar-winning song from Slumdog Millionaire.
The Climb is such a great song. It has been reported that the winner of the UK's X Factor will record the song.
