Worried About Swine Flu? Here Comes Pneumonic Plague

A second illness is causing alarm across the world as a village in China is quarantined after several residents contracted the pneumonic plague.

Three people are already said to be dead from the plague and a fourth is close to death in the northwest China town of Ziketan.

Despite the town of about 10,000 residents being quarantined, news is breaking that residents are fleeing the town on foot.

Does this mean another epidemic much like the swine flu? It is too early to tell, but it is not a good sign for the residents to flee.

Pneumonic plague spreads through the air, making it easier to contract than bubonic plague, which requires that a person is bitten by an infected flea. According to Wikepedia, Pneumonic plague is an infection in the lung(s), bubonic plague is an infection of the buboes or lymph nodes

The World Health Organization says pneumonic plague is the most virulent but least common form of plague. The mortality rate is high and patients can die 24 hours after infection without treatment with antibiotics.

This seems a lot scarier to me then the swine flu. Wikepedia says "with pneumonic plague, the first signs of illness are fever, headache, weakness, and rapidly developing pneumonia with shortness of breath, chest pain, cough, and sometimes bloody or watery sputum."

If you have visited this town in China, be proactive to make sure you are safe. Otherwise, right now it seems to just be affecting the first fatality's family. Not a world concern yet, but an illness to be aware of at this time.

It is a lot more deadly then the swine flu causing over 20,000 deaths in the last ten years. It is easily treatable if caught in time. It looks like the World Health Organization is taking the necessary steps to keep it quarantined to the area of China.

So breathe a sigh of relief and lift the Chinese up in your prayers.

Asher, hum, I'll go out on a limb and say this just may sound biblical to me but then again I'm one of those paranoid types, I believe. Good job though and best wishes.

Who knows, Robert, doesn't the book of Revelations say something about a third of the world population dying of disease?  We don't know when this may occur, but the signs seem to be there.

David, all of my attention over the last year has been toward bible prophecy. You are correct about what you say. My latest article points out the subtle things that happen every day that are not of interest to many. [as in the days of Noah]. Now interestingly Connor just read a 2007 article about SEX I wrote as a test. I have to date over 1600 readers on that topic and I'm licky if I get 30 on bible, religion or values. That in of itself another bit of prophesy. Now please David understand this, this is not Bob's prophesy, this is the God I believe in, His prophesy. I find it amazing. Now the signs are all about for those who seek. One could literally enjoy days of research. Now once again, as the doubters will point out, we know not the day or the hour, yet Jesus, My God, said we who watch, look, keep an open eye and we would know when it is even at the door. That is why I started my blog site reacconsiderations found at the end of all my articles. Paranoid, no certainly not. Interesting, encouraging, electrifying, confirmation, you can say that again. Yes David the paranoid, well those who just might find out we are not as foolish as they believe we are inmy opinion are the real pariniod that this all just might come to pass, as I believe it will and soon if it is God's will. Best wishes my friend it is always great to hear from you.
