Bad Luck For McDonalds' Employee; Cops Burger Too Salty

This story has to go down in the worst luck category. In Union City, Georgia, a McDonalds employee found herself in jail for serving a hamburger that was too salty to a policeman. Kendra Bull was charged with misdemeanor reckless conduct and freed on $1,000 bail after the night in jail.
Bull, 20, said she accidentally spilled salt on hamburger meat and told her supervisor and a co-worker, who "tried to thump the salt off." She even ate one of the hamburgers on her break and did not get sick.
Bull did not understand why Adams ate the whole burger instead of taking a bite and returning it or throwing it away if it was too salty. Police did say that samples were sent to the state crime lab for tests. The city said charges remain because Bull served the hamburger "without regards to the well-being of anyone who might consume it."
My concern is why was Bull’s supervisor not charged or manager for that matter. It makes no sense to me how an employee who is on the job for five months can face jail time after her supervisor was aware of what was happening.
Also, do you not take your chances with fast food? I have worked fast food in college and high school. More people would not eat fast food if they knew the things that went on in the kitchen. But don’t we all really know that. And are we not responsible as customers to just take the food back and complain?
I can say that this girl probably does not get paid enough to cover the bail, court costs and possibly any fines that will go with it because of a simple mistake.

Top-level comments on this article: (4 total)Why did the Franchise serve the hamburger if they knew too much salt had been put on the burger? Whether it was accidential or purposely. Know, they don't know who is coming thru the drive in, that should not matter. It so happened that the policeman came thru at the time. When working with food to sell to the public one should always follow the rules when seasoning food. In saying that, if the young lady knew she had put too much salt on the burger why did'nt she thro it away? Yes, I think McDonald's should share the responsibility of this incident.
This has to be some sort of joke. My first question is: Why would anyone eat at McDonalds? To eat in that place is just asking for trouble. Secondly, an error is an error and certainly does not deserve a night in jail. I think I would be taking this one to court. And who is this cop who thinks so much of himself? It's a crazy world we live in. I really do hope that this news item did not really happen, but was only someone's idea of a joke. If it is for real, we're in a lot of trouble.
I got tired of McDonald's burgers being too salty most of the time so on the rare occasions I eat there I order them without salt. Before that I would have them remake them if they were too salty. It's McD's, what did the cop expect? This is an obvious abuse of power. I would like to see the cop arrested for abuse of power.
We season the meat, we dont controll how much comes out, we give it a quick sprinkle. If you eat the burger and complain its too salty, that means we will tell you to go away. if you take a bite and say its too salty, we will make you a new one and ask if you want salt on it. If you dont like salt, just say for crying out loud and well make you a new one. As for the cop, if you bite your burger and its too salty, you know straight away to take it back. Dont eat the whole thing, dumbass. I bet you were just lying about being sick, so you could make some money. Over in the uk we say, you have your head up your own arse
